Join us for an evening of celebrating the summer solstice & creating together on Weds., June 21st at 6:30 p.m. at Patti & Dana's (1327 Walnut St.). We’re celebrating the longest day of the year with a bring-something-to-share community dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. After dinner, we’ll spend some time creating blackout hymns and poetry together.
Blackout poetry, also known as “erasure poetry”, is a unique form of artistic expression that involves creating poems by selectively erasing or covering existing text from a printed page. The process involves choosing specific words or phrases from the original text and blacking out the rest, leaving behind a transformed, visually striking poem (or hymn) that emerges from the remnants of the original work.
