Neighborhood Commons Listening Session

  • Jacksonville Art & Music School (JAMS) 3315 North Liberty Street, 32206 (map)

Join us for a lively and engaging in-person Listening Session event at JAMS (3315 N Liberty St, 32206) with Dr. Kim Allen. In 2022, Florida Blue committed to addressing health equity and social justice and are collaborating with UF Health, 904WARD (Jacksonville), the Hispanic Federation (Orlando), and Florida Health Justice Project (Miami) to open and operate a Center for Thriving Communities.

The Center has four pillars of work: community engagement (relationship-building and hosting listening sessions), community-centered research, training/educational resources, follow-up support, and sustainability. The community engagement phase is currently underway. The priorities of the Center will be informed and co-created by community feedback and engagement. Whether you have lived in Jacksonville for years or are new to the area, we welcome your voice and perspective. Please join us on the 9th to tell the organizers what is needed and how we can work together to bring about sustainable change.

Lunch will be provided and attendees will each receive an honorarium of $20 for attending. If you need transportation assistance, please let us know. RSVP via eventbrite.
