Journey with us this Lent

Lent is a season of journey toward the cross, of preparation for Easter, of looking inward & inviting God to reveal what lies fallow, what needs to be nurtured, and what needs to die for new life to emerge.

We invite you to move through this season with us in several ways.

Ash Wednesday, March 6th, 6-7:30 p.m.

Come by the Karpeles Manuscript Museum between 6-7:30 p.m. for stations of prayer & reflection, as well as an opportunity to receive ashes. Ashes are a sign of repentance. We enter this season knowing that none of us has arrived, that we have much to learn & that each moment is gift.

Sunday Gatherings: March 10, 17, 24 & April 7, 14

We will gather at the Karpeles each Sunday during Lent to explore what it means to cultivate a spirituality rooted in the Lord's Prayer. We start gathering at 10 a.m. for coffee & conversation, then at 10:30 move into a time of storytelling, scripture exploration, communion & experiencing new spiritual practices together.

40 days of praying the Lord's Prayer

As we move through Lent, you are invited to join us in praying the Lord's prayer each day. This is the prayer Jesus taught his followers to pray. It's more than a prayer though, it's a way of life. Each Sunday, we'll introduce a new way to pray, meditate & allow this prayer to move us deeper into the way of Jesus in the midst of our daily routines.

Community Dinner Conversations

Join us on Wednesday evenings, March 20 & 27th at Kevin & Susan's home for dinner & conversation about spiritual formation in our community. This is the perfect season for us to step back & take stock. We'll start with dinner at 6 p.m. then move into our conversation at 6:30 p.m. Come for all or part of the evening. Questions to begin pondering are:

Where does God want me to grow at this time?
Where does God want us to grow?
What can we do to nurture growth?
