Holy Week & Easter with The Well
What does the suffering, death & resurrection of Jesus mean? What does it mean to you, to the church and for the world? What does it mean to "practice the way of Jesus" in light of this central part of the biblical story?
Our responses to those questions change as we learn, grow and experience more of life. Holy Week gives us an opportuity to re-visit the events surrounding Jesus’ execution, death and resurrection. It is time set aside to journey with Jesus and his followers through the tears, anger, betrayal, death and joy of this week.
We do not observe Holy Week because we have to or even because we should. We do it because we need to - we need to remember and we need to reflect again on what these events tell us about God and how they call us to follow the Way. You are invited to:
Read along with us. This list of daily scripture readings will help you move through the the story and prepare for Resurrection Sunday. Approach the story for the first time or the 100th time. Listen, wonder, repent, ask questios, give thanks.
