Advent at The Well

Did Christmas really change the world?We tend to say yes.Yes, the birth of Christ changed history.  It brought hope,  creating a new way of relating to God and our neighbors.Years later though, it seems we have tamed the message, creating a Christmas season (and a Christianity) that is more individual-oriented, consumer-driven and status quo-friendly.This Advent, we will dare to re-think the radical implications of the coming of Christ, and to respond in ways that reflect its real significance.   If the birth of Christ really turned the world upside down, then perhaps there are better ways for us to tell the story than getting caught up in a holiday frenzy.  We will explore and discuss the Advent Conspiracy; we will gather for meaningful worship and fellowship; we will serve in our neighborhood and exchange homemade gifts.Join us as we journey through Advent together, anticipating the way that Christ's birth has and will once again turn things upside down.I hope to see you Sunday...
